SHIPPING AND HANDLING INFORMATION

HOW TO ORDER

You may use your credit card and call your order in directly and it will be shipped within 3 to5 business days. Or you may pay by check, Money Order or Cashiers Check If paying by Personal check, Business Check, Money Orders or Cashiers Checks make checks payable to Lapidary Discounts.  Personal and Business Checks must clear before items are shipped. When ordering please furnish as much information as possible.  Give item number, a complete description of the item and include all other variables such as grits, and sizes and weights where applicable.  

 

MINIMUM ORDER FEE

Orders under $20.00, including orders for spare parts, will be charged a $2.00 service fee in addition to shipping and handling fees.

 

SHIPPING CHARGES

To determine shipping charges, refer to the Shipping table that follows. When calculating the cost of your order, allow enough to cover shipping charges. Shipping charges listed in the chart are an estimate only, when calling in your order you will need to furnish your zip code, we can then calculate an accurate shipping cost.   Lapidary Discounts does not add any charges to your shipping costs.  The actual costs of the shipping is what you are billed and pay for.

 

PAYMENTS

We honor Visa and Master Card. By using a credit card it expedites the order and it ships much quicker.  When ordering by mail, payment must accompany the order.  If you use a credit card please furnish your card number, expiration date, and your signature.  Personal and Business Checks must clear before items are shipped.

 

PRICES

ALL PRICES ARE SHOWN IN US DOLLARS  and are subject to change without notice. We try to maintain our prices by holding the line, however sometimes our suppliers increase the prices without notice and it is more than we can absorb.  In such cases, items will be invoiced at current prices. We also reserve the right to correct any errors shown on this Web-Site.  California residents must pay Sales tax of 8.75%

 

CANADIAN ORDERS*

ALL PRICES ARE SHOWN IN US DOLLARS.    We ship UPS to those Canadian areas having that service, otherwise, orders weighing less than 66 pounds will be shipped parcel post. Heavier orders may be shipped truck freight. Orders may be shipped in two cartons via parcel post to meet insurance limits of $500.00 per carton.  ORDERS CANNOT BE SHIPPED COD INTO CANADA.

 

USA ORDERS*

We generally ship United Parcel Service or Fed Ex Ground Services whenever possible. Include your complete shipping address along with your mailing address and phone number. UPS/FEDEX will not deliver to a post office box.  If you require parcel post, please advise us.

 

SPECIAL AIR SERVICE*

Please call for quotes if you wish air service.  We normally ship by UPS ground service that gets your order delivered in 2 to 5 days anywhere within the 48 contiguous states.  However if you require a faster delivery then give us a call and we can give you a quote on having your order delivered by UPS 2nd Day or UPS Next Day service within the USA. There are some restrictions on weight and package size for air service and shipments to Canada.

 

* NOTE: We cannot ship adhesive products to Canada or elsewhere outside the USA. Also we cannot ship these products within the USA via air freight.

 

SHORTAGES

Orders may be shipped in two or more cartons, and will be marked that way. If an incomplete shipment is not completed within a reasonable time, usually three or four working days, contact your carrier and Lapidary Discounts.  For shortages in otherwise complete shipments, contact Lapidary Discounts immediately and provide the invoice number as shown on the packing slip.  Examine the contents and packing material carefully for small items that may have been missed during the unpacking of the parcel.

 

 

DAMAGE IN SHIPMENT

Open your packages upon receipt. Save all packing and cartons until you are certain merchandise is not damaged. Any adjustment for damage to merchandise in shipment must be made to the carrier.  If there is any visible damage at time of delivery, the carrier must make note of this on receipt.  

 

RETURN OF MERCHANDISE

If you are not satisfied with the merchandise received call Lapidary Discounts within 10 days of receipt.   Provided merchandise is unused and returned in its ORIGINAL CONDITION and shipping is prepaid Lapidary Discounts will accept the merchandise back with a 15% restocking charge.

 

INSURANCE ON THE SHIPPING CHARGES

The rates on the chart include insurance coverage up to $100.00.  Additional insurance is available for an additional $.35 for each increment of $100 being insured. If you want insurance, add these charges to your order.

Orders under $20.00 must add $2.00 handling charge

To determine your shipping charges:

  • Write down in columns 1-3 the Item Number, Description and Quantity of each item you are buying.

  • In column 4 write down the shipping weight in pounds or ounces as well as the price in column 7. 

  • If you are buying more than one of an item, multiply the weight in column 4 by the quantity ordered in column 3 and if the weight is in pounds place the extended weight in column 5, OR if the weight is in ounces place the extended weight in column 6.

  • Total up the number of pounds in column 5 and ounces in column 6.

  • If there are any weights in ounces divide column 6 by 16 to give the number of pounds.

  • Since we can't ship less than an even pound, round up to the next full pound.

  • Add this converted weight to the total number of pounds in column 5 and that is your shipping weight.
